Dobermans are gentle, patient and kind around children, especially if they are raised with children at a young age. The ideal family life for a Doberman would be within a active household where there are rules and boundaries that need to be followed. This breed is incredibly loyal and work well within a family unit but they will often pick out one individual in particular and bond to them exceptionally close to that one person.

Doberman Pinschers are very in-tune with their family members and they will often look you directly in the eye and figure out what you actually expect from them. As affectionate and loving as these dogs are, you must expect them to be glued to your every move. These oversized lap togs will be eager to sit on your lap at every opportunity.
