For as long as I can remember, our home has been a sanctuary for dogs. My father's unique approach to greyhound racing set us apart. He didn’t merely train them; he embraced them as beloved family members once they retired. I still hear my mum’s exasperated sighs as our pack grew to six strong. Perhaps this is where my deep-rooted passion for dogs began. I cherished each one of our dogs and treated them with the love and respect they deserved. They certainly kept life exciting!

With eight years of experience in commercial security, collections and private protection, I seamlessly transitioned into specialising in family protection dogs. My role involved a thorough assessment of clients' security needs, whether personal or family oriented. I focused on identifying vulnerabilities and developing effective strategies to mitigate risks. This journey of sourcing the ideal protection dogs to enhance home security has brought me to where I am today, and that's how I crossed paths with James.

As co-founder and head of family security at K9-International, I find my role to be much more than just a job; it is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. My journey in dog training began in my early twenties when I purchased a Belgian Malinois from a friend. Initially, I wanted a companion to keep me company during my night shifts in security. However, during the long periods of inactivity at work, I quickly recognised Ceasar's potential. He was not just a dog; he became a teacher who introduced me to the world of dog training. I owe much of my knowledge and passion to him.

Ceasar, my loyal companion, came from a lineage of ancestors who served in the armed forces. This background, combined with his unwavering loyalty, indicated his potential to become an exceptional service dog—a potential he ultimately fulfilled.

My journey with Ceasar led me to become deeply immersed in dog training. I took specialised handler courses and continuously researched dog behavior, allowing my experience and understanding to grow rapidly. This transformation from a dog owner to a professional trainer was fueled by my passion, which has contributed to the national and international credibility I hold today.
